Time

We had a fantastic holiday, both mom and dad off of school for a full two weeks! I will admit though on that long list of ‘what we need to do over Christmas break’ not much has been checked off. I sure had hoped to accomplish more than I did, but the one BIG thing we did get done was spending some good time with the kids!

Time just keeps flying by, and there never seems to be enough hours in the day. Tomorrow is back to work for mom, Tuesday the kids return to school and Wednesday dad goes back for his second semester of nursing school. We’re all looking forward to getting through this next semester and having our BEST summer ever!

The days leading up to our little one’s birthday I thought I’d write a little about her everyday since I haven’t been keeping up on the blog. Watch for this soon! I guess you could say it’s sort of a New Year’s Resolution – updating the blog more often. The reason I began this online journal was to have all of our memories and thoughts compiled so the children can read it when they grow up and so hubs and I can look back and reminisce when we’re old and gray. Both kids change so quickly; they’re growing up whether I want them to or not!

Okay,I can't resist... I am posting the quote I left on Kayla's blog,Opposite Kids ... this New Year I see two common threads of theme's to blogs I read. One is hope and one is about time.... both are in such demand!!Here's the quote:

“Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresa, Martin Luther, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. Be the change you want to see."...not intended as a quilt trip for you because trust me,time is a hot commodity around here.Always trying to stretch out the hours to the day!

As for the little love and the upcoming birthday ... so hard to believe. Will look so forward to reading about her daily and you know, she fits into that other thread, the HOPE one ... she is always, always our picture of hope!
