Happy Thanksgiving!

In the spirit of the upcoming holiday, I am thankful for:

My son and that he is a cheap date. A giant life sized Santa and a 99 cent ice cream cone makes his day!


My duaghters smile and how she brightens my day even on the darkest mornings.


SLEEP! Despite how brief it may be at times!


Chemotherapy, yep, that's right, along with loving doctors and nurses and lots of prayers, it is saving her life.


Nurses. Night and day, they're here because they love our kids. It takes a very special person to be an oncology nurse, we love them!


The good people in the world. The entire Mizzou basketball team came up to visit 4 Henson this morning. This place was hopping, there were kids out of their rooms that we didn't even know were here (and we know just about everyone here!) The guys fell in love with Chelsea and thought she was just great. Look at how big he is!


The innocence of children. Chelsea's love for everyone around her makes me a better, more caring person. Imagine the witch I was before I knew her! Her buddy Branden in the picture is also a little angel. Our friend Bailee told us 2 days ago that if it weren't for Chelsea and Branden she would be in bed on a morphine pump all day. She said they lighten her day and give her a reason to look forward to her days up here on 4 Henson. Isn't it amazing how Chelsea can reach out and touch people? She just melts my heart.


*An update on Bailee: she's been fighting a fever since yesterday and could use some prayers. We miss her as she has to stay in her room until she can kick the fever. We did peek in her room and got a smile out of her today though!
