Yep, we were denied at the hospital yesterday. Well not actually denied, but they didn't admit Chelsea b/c they drew labs and her ANC was only 720. Yep, it went down from Monday. I thought for sure she would be above 1,000 by Friday, but they said that it does fluctuate sometimes... *sigh* They did do the bone marrow biopsy (#3), so that took a couple of hours before they completed it and she was out of the sedation enough to come home. We were exhausted as we were up late packing and then woke up early to get there on time. We'll return to Children's on Tuesday bright and early to try again. Of course if she's not ready, we'll be headed home again.
The good news? Ryan found a job...not something that takes him out of the back breaking work of construction, but it's a job with benefits, so we'll take it. He's coming in as the head carpenter at a fire and flood restoration company. The company is contracting with insurance companies and can't keep up with all the work. They desperately needed someone that already knows how to do everything. He was able to do some hard bargaining to make sure we would get what we needed and then some. The best part of it is no more bids, no more looking at jobs in the evenings, no more trying to track down people who won't pay us. He's looking forward to going to work in the morning and coming home at night...and not bringing his work with him. I think we'll still keep our ears open for other opportunities should they arise, there will always be a job with better pay, better benefits and one that is less physically stressful.

CONGRATULATIONS Ryan!!!! That is terrific news. I hope now he can relax a bit and not have to worry about that as much. Isn't it amazing how all of the prayers are just being answered. Someone up there is looking out for you guys.
Can't wait to see you guys tomorrow! Abby is so excited that Logan can come. We will miss Chelsea, but I will send home a goody bag for her!
Hugs to you all!
Ahhh that stinks! Praying her neutrophils are high enough to get going on Tuesday!! Hang in there!

Oh I'm so glad Ryan got a job, it does sound pretty good and reliable.
I hope Chelsea's #'s go up so that she can begin round 2. It's awful to hope to have a child have chemo but I just want that little honey better!
good luck with the new job....hope it works out well for the family...change is always hard....
