Okay, not catching your baby fast enough as she heads towards the piping hot wood burning stove may in fact be worse than trying to pull the stitch out of her tongue. Oh dear God I think the Down syndrome is the least of her worries! She'll be lucky to survive her whacky family! Please don't turn us in! And no she doesn't have any burns, just touched her hand there long enough to hurt. She cried for a couple of minutes and I held her hand in cool water, then I held a cool wet washcloth around her hand for a little while. Then of course the best pain medication ever, mama's milk! She's fine now.
