April Update

I thought it was time for an update on my sweet baby girl. Chelsea is growing up so fast and she has such a personality! Here are a few things she's been doing lately:
LANGUAGE:
*signing: more, eat, drink (?), milk, and sometimes will imitate play and all done.
~as happens with many children as they learn to speak some of her signs are best understood by mommy and daddy. As she practices with them they will become more fine tuned. Her eat and drink look alike and for more she brings the heels of her hands together.
*the last couple of days she has started putting 2 signs together! She signs 'more eat' It is just too cute!
*she is initiating signs now!!! when she's playing she'll come to me and sign eat and she makes the sound "duh" with it. It's like she's really telling me!
GROSS MOTOR:
*pulling to stand w/ ease (as she has been for a while) and now she's bending down to pick things up and she stands back up.
*she's doing less of the dramatic plop down on her butt. Instead when she's pulling to stand and wants down she's trying to bend a little to get down more gently!
*starting to let go for a second when standing! Yipee!!!! Sometimes we'll be holding her hands or her waist and then we'll let go and she's stood alone for up to 5 seconds!!!

On another note please keep the family in your prayers. Most of you know my stepfather is very sick and is still in the ICU. Hoping he'll come off the vent tomorrow or Monday!

PS, I'm out w/ strep ... again. I guess the first round of antibiotics didn't work, so we're trying again. Hopefully I've managed to keep it from the kids and DH again!
